Acceptance
Using Free SEO, DNS & Email Tools — Web Tool Bench means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, please stop using the site.
What the tools are for
The tools are provided for legitimate diagnostic, educational and administrative use — checking your own infrastructure, investigating a domain you are considering buying, generating configuration for a server you control, or learning how these systems work.
What you may not do
- Attack, overload, probe or gain unauthorised access to systems you do not control or have permission to test.
- Circumvent rate limits through automation, proxy rotation or distributed requests.
- Scrape the tools to build a competing service or resell the output.
- Use the site to harass, stalk or gather information about an individual.
- Use generated configuration to disguise malicious activity.
Diagnostic tools are dual-use by nature. Looking up public DNS records is not an attack, and the site is not going to pretend otherwise. But using it as one step in gaining unauthorised access is a misuse of the service and likely a criminal offence where you live.
Rate limiting
Requests are limited per IP address to keep the service available. Excessive or automated querying may be throttled or blocked without notice. If you have a legitimate need for bulk access, ask rather than working around the limits.
No warranty
The tools are provided as they are, without warranty of any kind.
Results depend on third-party systems — DNS resolvers, registry WHOIS servers, remote web servers — none of which are under our control. Those systems can be slow, rate limited, temporarily inconsistent or simply wrong. A result reflects what was returned at the moment of the query and nothing more.
Availability is not guaranteed. Tools may be changed, moved or withdrawn.
Configuration output is your responsibility
Generated configuration files, including .htaccess and robots.txt, are produced from the options you select. Server environments differ, and a rule that is correct in general can break a specific setup.
Back up any file before you replace it. A misconfigured .htaccess can take a site offline completely. If you cannot restore a site by uploading a backup over FTP, do not deploy generated configuration to it.
Warnings shown alongside generated output are there because those specific mistakes cause outages. Please read them.
Calculators are not professional advice
Calculator results are planning estimates. They necessarily exclude variables specific to your circumstances — fees, taxes, local regulation, contractual terms, exchange rates.
Nothing on this site is financial, legal, tax, accounting or engineering advice. For any decision with real financial consequence, consult someone qualified in your jurisdiction.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Web Tool Bench and its operator are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data or goodwill, arising from use of or inability to use the site.
Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid to use the service, which is zero.
Nothing here excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
User submissions
By submitting a review you confirm it reflects your genuine experience, that you have not been paid for it, and that you have the right to publish its contents.
Submissions are moderated before publication. Anything may be declined or removed at our discretion, including reviews that are promotional, abusive, defamatory, off-topic, or that appear to be fabricated.
You retain ownership of what you write and grant permission to display it on the site indefinitely. Removal can be requested at any time.
Intellectual property
Site content, explanatory text, design and code are owned by the operator unless otherwise stated.
Generated output — the .htaccess files, robots.txt files, meta tags, hashes and calculator results — is yours to use freely, commercially or otherwise, with no attribution required. It was produced from your input for your use.

These terms may change. The date at the top reflects the last revision, and continued use afterwards constitutes acceptance.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of United States, and disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of its courts.
