Reporting an incorrect result
This is the most useful message you can send. To fix a problem I need to reproduce it, so please include:
- The tool you used and the exact input
- What the tool returned
- What you expected instead, and why
- Roughly when you ran it — DNS and WHOIS answers change over time
"The DNS checker is broken" cannot be acted on. "The MX lookup for example.com returns nothing, but dig MX example.com shows two records" can be fixed the same day.
Suggesting a tool
Tell me the situation, not just the tool name. The most useful suggestions describe what you were doing by hand and why it was tedious — that usually reveals a better tool than the one being asked for.
Reporting a security issue
If you believe you have found a vulnerability, please email before disclosing it publicly. Include enough detail to reproduce the issue. I will confirm receipt within 48 hours and keep you updated until it is resolved. No bug bounty is offered, but credit is given where wanted.
Advertising and partnership enquiries
Advertising is handled through Google AdSense and inventory cannot be bought directly. Enquiries about affiliate or sponsorship arrangements are welcome, subject to one condition: nothing that would alter or bias tool output. That is not negotiable.
Privacy and data requests
For access to, correction of or deletion of personal data, use the same address with "Privacy request" in the subject. See the [Privacy Policy](https://www.webtoolbench.com/privacy-policy) for what is held and for how long.
What not to send
- Link exchange, guest post and "we noticed a broken link" outreach. These go unread.
- Requests to remove a WHOIS result. WHOIS data comes from the registry; only your registrar can change it.
- Requests to run bulk queries. The tools are rate limited by design.
